Corneal levels of MCP-1, IL-6, LIF, G-CSF, IL-12p70, IP-10 and MIP-1β are induced during re-epithelialization. A 2 mm circular epithelial abrasion was created on mouse cornea and treated with saline or CAP37 eye drop at 0 and 16 h. Corneas were collected and flash frozen at indicated times post corneal abrasion. Corneal lysates were analyzed for cytokines using the Milliplex® MAP mouse cytokine assay. The mean of 4 to 6 independent values obtained from 4 to 6 mice are shown ± SEM. The levels of cytokines in unwounded corneas were compared to wounded corneas treated with saline and to wounded corneas treated with CAP37 corneal samples for each time point using two-way ANOVA and Tukey’s multiple comparisons test, *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.005, ****P < 0.0001.
