Validation of altered glutamatergic and synaptic molecules in the NAc of ENT1−/− mice. A. Western Blot showing altered protein expression changes between ENT1+/+ mice and ENT1−/− mice. B. EAAT2 [ t(8) =2.34, p <0.05] and CAP1 [ t(8) =2.28, p <0.05] expressions were significantly increase in the NAc of ENT1−/− mice, while RTN4 [ t(8) =2.50, p <0.05], pERK [ t(8) =2.46, p <0.05], and ERK [ t(8) =4.33, p <0.005], were decreased (n = 5). C. After acamprosate treatment, EAAT expression in the ENT1−/− mice were significantly decreased [ t(11) =2.30, p <0.05], while the other proteins showed no genotype differences (n = 6 ~ 7). All data are presented as mean ± SEM.
