RBC axial displacement (upper panel) and normalized ATP release level (lower panel). The measurement is during the process of an RBC migration from the wall to the center, ending up with a steady shape and ATP release level. Comparing the lower panel presented here to Fig. 8 shows that for low confinement, the lifting process causes more ATP release than when the cell is in a steady centered shape.
