The combination index was calculated using the formula: CI = CA,X/ICX,A + CB,X/ICX,B. The combination index (CI) < 1, < 0.5, > 1 represents synergism, strong synergism and antagonistic effects. Synergistic drug combination index of AMR-MeOAc: FL118 (8+20 nM) in HPAF-II cells and AMR-MeOAc: FL118 (8+20 nM) in BxPC-3 cells showing about 40% cell death were used in rest of the assays.
