ZEB1 knockdown inhibits the proliferation, promotes apoptosis, and attenuates metastasis of cervical cancer cells.

Notes: (A) Western blot analysis was utilized to measure ZEB1 protein expression in HeLa and SiHa cells that were treated with ZEB1 siRNA or NC siRNA. ZEB1 was significantly downregulated in ZEB1 siRNA-transfected HeLa and SiHa cells. *P<0.05 vs NC siRNA. (BE) CCK-8, flow cytometry, migration, and invasion assays were performed to evaluate the proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion of HeLa and SiHa cells following ZEB1 siRNA or NC siRNA transfection. ZEB1 silencing obviously suppressed the proliferation, promoted apoptosis, and attenuated migration and invasion of HeLa and SiHa cells. *P<0.05 vs NC siRNA.
