Impact of the down-regulation of HOTTIP on the invasiveness and chemosensitivity of SMMC-7721, Bel-7402 and Huh-7 cells. (A) After siHOTTIP or siGFP treatment for 48 h, the differentially expressed genes were screened using human gene expression microarrays (Affymetrix U133 Plus 2 chip) in SMMC-7721 cells; (B) the differentially expressed genes in the SMMC-7721 cells were analyzed with a functional cluster analysis; (C) after siHOTTIP or siGFP treatment for 48 h, a qRT-PCR assay was used to detect the expression of Wnt-5α in SMMC-7721 cells; (D) qRT-PCR assay was also used to detect the expression of HOTTIP and Wnt-5α in HCC tissue samples (n=10) randomly selected from the 155 HCC patients underwent LT. The positively correlated expression of HOTTIP and Wnt-5α mRNA was indicated by linear regression analysis. Spearman rank test r and P value (2-tailed) were shown. *, P<0.05.
