AQTGTGKT peptide shows ex vivo tumor homing potential. Tumor-bearing nude mice (xenograft of H1975 cells) were given intravenous injection of FITC-conjugated AQTGTGKT peptide after tumors reached a certain size (200–300 mm³). Representative distribution of FITC-conjugated AQTGTGKT peptide at the indicated time after injection in dissected tumor and normal organs including kidney, liver, spleen, and lung is shown. Note the strong fluorescence accumulation in the tumor compared to that in control organs.
