Significant FWE-corrected (p < .05) clusters in the random-effects lexical vs. fixation baseline contrast, collapsed across all presentation modality conditions functionally define the reading network for the functional connectivity analysis. This definition ensures the network analyses focused on brain regions that were generally engaged in reading-related processing in all presentation modality conditions and across all participants.
