The chronic symptoms group scored ≥10 on four or more occasions. The moderate episodic symptoms group includes women who scored 10 to 15 on one to three occasions but never greater than 15, and the severe episodic symptoms group includes women who scored ≥16 at least once but did not meet criteria for chronic depression
