The model shows a gap length of 11 nucleotides between the PAM and the target CpG site. Models were built by superimposing the crystal structure of DNA-bound S. pyogenes dCas9 (4UN3) [24] and the M.SssI homolog M.HhaI (2HR1) [25] onto the same molecule of B-DNA.
