The Ca²⁺ entry mode of NCX contributes to removal of external Na⁺ (0 Na⁺)-induced increase in [Ca²⁺]_cyt in individual mouse tracheal smooth muscle cells. After mouse tracheal smooth muscle cells were loaded with Fura 2-AM, [Ca²⁺]_cyt was measured by digital Ca²⁺ imaging system.
