Determination of the specific antibody response in young and old mice at 3 weeks of infection. (A–C) N40 protein extract probed with pooled plasma of either young (A), or old (C) from each group of infected mice by ELISA indicated a significant reduction in the specific antibodies in plasma of only young coinfected mice with no reactivity observed with plasma from B. microti (Bm) infected mice.
