In this case of a 31-year-old female patient who experienced a cardiac arrest during a scheduled robotic-assisted laparoscopic myomectomy in a steep Trendelenburg position, the space between the braces and the neck might have been insufficient to prevent compression of the carotid sinus and lowered sympathetic activity.
