Note: Lifetime education was the number of years of school completed. Occupation was based on the Hollingshead Four-Factor index (Hollingshead, 1975), from 0 (unemployed) to 9 (major professionals). Depression symptoms were measured with the Center for Epidemiologic Studies – Depression Scale (Radloff, 1977), with scores above 15 indicating risk for clinical depression.
