The expansion of CD8 T_VM cell after helminth infection is independent of cognate antigen. OT-I TCR transgenic cells were transferred intravenously into CD45.1⁺ congenic B6 mice. One day later the recipient mice either remained uninfected or were infected with Hp. Two weeks later, host T cells (CD8α⁺CD45.1⁺) and OT-I cells (CD8α⁺CD45.2⁺Vα2⁺Vβ5⁺) in the mesLN were analyzed as described in Figure 2.
