Crocetin exhibits inhibitory effect on the proliferation of colon cancer cells. The cells were cultured for 24 h in 96-well plates and then incubated for 24 h with crocetin. Proliferation of cells was measured using MTT assay. The experiments were performed in triplicates. (p < 0.05) compared with the control cells.
