Crocetin treatment induces apoptosis in colon cancer cells. The cells were treated with various concentrations of crocetin for 24 h and then subjected to annexin V-FITC and propidium iodide staining for detection of apoptosis. Following treatment the cells were visualized by fluorescence microscopy (A) and (flow cytometry) for apoptosis induction.
