The expression patterns of five clock-related genes over time are correlated with the risk-taking behaviour. The brains were collected from EE and LE fish, at six different time points, i.e. 1, 7, 13, 15, 19 and 23 hCT, in a 14–10-h light to dark regime (n = 3), and subsequently, RNA was isolated and used for qPCR analysis. The relative expression of bmal1a, clock1a, per1a, cry1a and cipca was double-plotted over time from EE (red) and LE (blue) fish.
