Relationship between inflammation component and poor recovery at 3 and 6 months after traumatic brain injury (TBI). To assess poor recovery, patient Glasgow Outcome Scale-Extended (GOS-E) scores were dichotomized into either poor recovery (GOS-E < 4) or not (GOS-E > 4). (A) Patients who had poor recovery at 3 months had significantly higher Inflammation component scores (*p < 0.05). (B) Patients who had poor recovery at 6 months also had significantly higher Inflammation component scores (*p < 0.05). (C) Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis shows Inflammation principal component (PC) score to be significantly predictive of poor recovery at 3 months (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.781, p < 0.001).
