The panels illustrate the computation of migration fluxes m(x1,y1)(x2,y2)(α) given by Eq (9) for different orientations of the migration direction relative to the lattice. Note that the choice of the migration coefficients is always made relative to the direction of migration and not relative to the coordinate system.
