aReciprocal determinism is a construct within Social Cognitive Theory which suggests that individual and environmental factors interact and jointly influence behavior. In this case, we propose that changes in fruit and vegetable consumption caused by the Veggie Van program will be mediated by increased self-efficacy to purchase prepare and eat fruits and vegetables and increased perceived access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
