CEBPD binds to the PTX3 promoter in vivo. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays were performed with THP-1 and U373MG cells treated for 3 hours with proinflammatory factors as indicated (20 ng/mL tumor necrosis factor alpha [TNF-α] or 5 ng/mL interleukin [IL]-1β). The schematic on the top indicates the location of the primers used for detection of the PTX3 promoter by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The graph on the right shows the results obtained from 3 independent experiments.
