Combination effect of CPT and AgNPs on cytotoxicity in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were incubated with CPT (1 μM), AgNPs (1 μM), or a combination of CPT (1 μM) and AgNPs (1 μM) for 24 h. (a) The levels of ROS were assessed by measuring the relative fluorescence of 2′,7′-dichlorofluorescein using a spectrofluorometer. (b) The activity of LDH was measured at 490 nm using the LDH cytotoxicity kit. (c) The level of the dead-cell protease was determined by CytoTox-Glo cytotoxicity assay. The results are expressed as the mean ± standard deviation of three independent experiments. Differences between the treated and control groups were measured using Student's t-test. Statistically significant differences between the treated and control group are indicated by (∗p < 0.05).
