Combination effect of CPT and AgNPs on pro- and antioxidant markers in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were incubated with CPT (1 μM), AgNPs (1 μM), or a combination of CPT (1 μM) and AgNPs (1 μM) for 24 h. (a) The concentration of MDA was measured and expressed as nanomoles per milligram of protein. (b) The concentration of carbonyl content was measured and expressed as nanomoles per milligram of protein. (c) GSH concentration is expressed as mg/g of protein. (d) Specific activity of SOD is expressed as units per milligram of protein. (e) Specific activity of CAT is expressed as units per milligram of protein. (f) The specific activity of glutathione peroxidase (GPx) was expressed as unit per milligram of protein. Results are expressed as mean ± standard deviation of three independent experiments. There was a significant difference in treated cells compared to untreated cells with Student's t-test (∗p < 0.05).
