The parental (EATRO1125.T7T), Δfbpase and Δfbpase/FBPase.i cell lines were incubated for 2 h in PBS containing 2 mM [U-¹³C]-proline. Enrichment of key glycolytic intermediates at carbon positions 0 to 6 (m0 to m6) is expressed as percentage of all the corresponding molecules. For abbreviations, see Figs 1 and 2.
