FRET efficiency vs. polarization. FRET efficiency increases with decreasing anisotropy. FRET efficiency for heterotransfer is plotted for various anisotropy values (r = 0 to r = 0.3) according to Equation (8). A maximum anisotropy of 0.3 is assumed.
