Clinical time‐course for the present patient. After starting vildagliptin, the C‐reactive protein (CRP) level (▲) was elevated twice. Therefore, we decided to restart vildagliptin with the patient's agreement. The next day, when he had taken a total of 150 mg vildagliptin, he had a high fever and the CRP level was elevated once more.
