Isobaric labeling enhances neutral loss in phosphotyrosine peptides. Tyrosine phosphorylated peptides were reported as exhibiting neutral loss when the neutral loss intensity was >33% of the base peak. A substantial increase in neutral loss is observed upon isobaric labeling, which is caused by the lowering of the proton mobility. Note that under ETD conditions (purple) no neutral loss was observed. Reproduced from Everley, R. A.; Huttlin, E. L.; Erickson, A. R.; Beausoleil, S. A.; Gygi, S. P. J.
