HIF reporter assay results of pyrroloiminoquinone alkaloids in LNCaP cells after 18 h treatment under hypoxic conditions (1% O2). Reporter activity values of pyrroloiminoquinone alkaloids are normalized to hypoxia control (control H) and are expressed as the average of triplicate experiments ±SEM (n = 3 or 4). For the positive control chetomin results are average values ±SEM from 5 to 6 replicate experiments (n = 4). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon rank sum test with Hochberg’s method for adjusting p values for multiple comparisons (reference group: control H). *p ≤ 0.05, **p ≤ 0.01, ***p ≤ 0.001, ****p ≤ 0.0001. N = normoxia; H = hypoxia.
