Each of the items below describes situations that people encounter in healthcare settings. Sometimes these situations occur because a person is transgender or gender non-conforming, sometimes they occur for other reasons. Some people are concerned about these situations and others are not. Please imagine yourself in each situation and indicate how you would feel if this situation happened to you because you are transgender or gender non-conforming.
1. You have to provide a urine sample for a routine health exam. When you ask the medical assistant where the bathroom is, she tells you where the unisex bathroom is located.
