Taxonomic affiliations of metagenomic bins based on phylogenetic marker genes of 20 different bacterial phyla (Phyla_AMPHORA; Wang and Wu, 2013). The majority of phylogenetic marker genes detected in the partial genomes belonged to the taxa Chlorobi (100–167 of 808 phylum-specific marker genes) or Bacteroidetes (55–65 of 215 phylum-specific marker genes) (Wang and Wu, 2013). Detailed number of genes detected for each phylum can be found in Table 2.
