For clarity, correlations between mediator variables, insignificant path coefficients, sub-scales of Emotional Trauma (Emotional Abuse, Emotional Neglect), and Social Anxiety (Social Anxiety Scale – Fear of Negative Evaluation, Social Anxiety Scale – New, Social Anxiety Scale – General) and control variables (number of hours gaming, gender, and age) have not been depicted in the figure. Number of hours gaming (β = .22, p < .001; 95% CI [.12, .32]) was significantly associated with internet gaming disorder while gender (β = -.09, p > .05; 95% CI [-.24, .05]) and age were not (β = .10, p > .05; 95% CI [-.08, .26]). *p < .05, **p < .01, ***p < .001.
