To examine thymocytes early in CD4/CD8-lineage choice, thymocytes were gated as TCRβ⁺H-2K^-. As shown here, TCRβ⁺H-2K^- thymocytes are CD4⁺CD8^lo, also known as intermediate thymocytes that undergo CD4/CD8-lineage choice (Singer et al., 2008).
