Generation of conditional smooth muscle–specific BDNF knockout mice. BDNF^fl/fl/SMMHC11^Cre/0 and BDNF^fl/fl/SMMHC11^0/0 were generated for the present studies. A) Wild-type (437 bp), BDNF^fl/fl (487 bp), BDNF^fl/0 (437 and 487 bp), and SMMHC11^Cre/0 (287 bp) genotypes were assessed by PCR.
