Image energy distributions across orientations and scales, for the individual images, the average atlas, and the proposed atlas. Higher energy values in high‐frequency subbands represent better preservation of anatomical details. It is illustrated that the proposed atlas (dark green bars) preserves more details from single‐subject atlases (by considering blue bars as standard), comparing with the average atlas (i.e., light green bars).
