A–D) At lower magnification the cryogels comprises a meshwork, interspersed with extensive porous/channel‐traversed lacunas and openings. Using high resolution SEM microscopy the plain surfaces of the polyP‐lacking “KG2/PVA‐cryogel” samples are devoid of any nanoparticles (E), while those formed in the “KG2/PVA/polyP:NP‐cryogel” are abundantly interspersed with nanoparticles (NP) (F).
