Effect of CA on ethanol intake and preference during the extinction phase. Rats continued to have free access to three bottles containing water, 15% ethanol, and 30% ethanol. Rats received either CA (5 mg/kg/day) or saline for seven days during the extinction phase. Ethanol intake (A), preference (B), water intake (C), and body weight (D) were measured daily during the extinction phase.
