We compared the effects of estradiol and 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) on expression of cyclin D1 and D2 as markers of cell proliferation. Ishikawa cells were treated for 24 hours. Although estradiol (3 nM) induced both cyclin D1 and D2, DHT (100 nM) did not. CTL (control) indicates the treatment with 0.001% ethanol; E2, 17β estradiol.
