Functional activities of miR-1914-5p in LX-2 fibrotic markers and lipid droplets. (A) α-SMA mRNA and protein levels from groups of LX-2 cells. The protein was examined and quantified by western blot. β-actin was used as the loading control. (B) TGF-β1 production from LX-2 groups was measured using ELISA. (C) Lipid droplets from LX-2 cultures were stained by Oil Red O and the detected droplets were quantified. The graphs and images present mean values of the average from at least three independent experiments. ANOVA testing showed significant differences (p < 0.05) in the assays.
