Simplified depiction of the hepatitis B virus screening model. A high-risk population enters the model and receives either no intervention, screening for infection and appropriate treatment, screening for susceptibility and appropriate vaccination, or screening for both infection and susceptibility with appropriate treatment or vaccination. Patients then progress through the model based on patient status and administration of treatment or vaccination.
