Histological and immunohistochemical analysis. Histological studies showed that (A) no pathologic changes were detected in control animals at 24 hours postischemia. B, Vascular congestion, edema, and severe intraparenchymal hemorrhage were observed in ischemia and reperfusion (IR) group at 24 hours postischemia.
