Two different detergent concentrations were used: (a) CMCs + 0.04 wt% and (b) CMCs + 0.2 wt%. Because of the very poor protein stability observed at a detergent concentration of CMC + 0.04 wt%, OG was not included in the experiment using the detergents at CMC + 0.2 wt%. The native complexes strongly absorb 875 nm light, which was utilized to assess protein stability over time.
