Phenamacril is a potent inhibitor of FgMyo1 ATPase activity. The steady-state actin-activated ATPase rate of FgMyo1 was measured in the presence of 20 μm F-actin and 0.1 to 100 μm phenamacril. A four-parameter logistic curve with variable slope (Hill equation) was used to establish an IC50 value of 365 ± 39 nm (n = 6 reactions, three replicate series).
