Association of KITLG (cg26512205) methylation level with childhood adversity in both healthy controls (blue dots) and bipolar disorder patients (red square). Significant positive association between childhood adversity and KITLG methylation was present in the healthy individuals (b = 0.012, p = 0.002). No significant association between KITLG methylation and childhood adversity in the bipolar disorder patients was present (b = 0.004, t = 1.039, p = 0.304).
