Surface microstructures of nHA_100, nHA_400, mHA_100, and mHA_400 coated Mg rods, as well as non-coated Mg rod control under low magnification. Mg rod samples had an initial dimension of 7.5 mm in diameter and 15 mm in height. SEM images of (a1,a1’) nHA_100, (a2,a2’) nHA_400, (b1,b1’) mHA_100, (b2,b2’) mHA_400. The original magnification was 100x for (a1,a2,b1,b2) and 500x for (a1’,a2’,b1’,b2’). Scale bar = 500 µm for (a1,a2,b1,b2) and scale bar = 100 µm for (a1’,a2’,b1’,b2’).
