This figure presents the histological studies of the tumor tissues with the delivered RGD-IONPs. Figures (b) and (c) show magnified areas of the arrow-pointed regions in (a) and (b), respectively. The results of the Prussian blue staining and the murine (β3 staining indicate that the tumor targeting was mainly mediated by RGD-integrin interactions, and the highlighted regions in the MR images acquired by using SWIFT-2sat and SWIFT-1sat are more likely due to the IONPs in the tumor.
