Metformin treatment increases cisplatin effects; (A) MDA-MB-231 and Ca Ski cells were either left untreated or treated with metformin or cisplatin alone or metformin in combination with cisplatin for 15 days. At the end of the treatment, cells were processed to obtain whole cell lysates. MAP1LC3B, pPRKAA2^Thr172, PRKAA2 and CASP3 (cleaved) expression was determined by Western blot. ACTB was used as loading control.
