Ganetespib reduces the percentage of EBV-infected cells, but not the level of EBV DNA, in the blood in a patient with hydroa vaccinforme and markedly elevated levels of EBV in the blood. A. PBMCs were isolated from blood, fluorescence in situ hybridization was performed using an EBV DNA probe, and the percentage of EBV infected cells was calculated. B. EBV DNA PCR was performed on peripheral whole blood from the patient before, during, and after ganetespib treatment.
