Ex vivo cardiac functioning parameters obtained from Sham, myocardial infarction vehicle (MI-V)- treated, and MI-clofibrate (MI-C)-treated rats. The following parameters were evaluated under basal conditions or in presence of N(ω)-Nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME, 200µM): (A) Left intraventricular pressure, (B) perfusion pressure, (C) mechanical work, and (D) coronary vascular resistance.
