(A) Synthesis of SNAPPs via ring-opening polymerization of lysine and valine N-carboxyanhydrides (NCAs) was initiated from the terminal amines of poly(amido amine) (PAMAM) dendrimers. Second- and third-generation PAMAM dendrimers in (B) with 16 and 32 peripheral primary amines were used to prepare 16- and 32-arm SNAPPs, respectively.
